Keep Your Body Functioning at 100%

Are you tired all day long?
Have you lost your youthful energy and feel like you are going to hit a wall around 2 or 3pm in the afternoon?
Do you struggle with sleep while tossing and turning much of the night?
Is stiffness, heartburn, and/or headaches preventing you from experiencing all that you know your body is capable of enjoying?
If you say YES to one of the above symptoms then I have good news for you! This doesn’t have to be the normal aging process that you may assume is inevitable. There is still time to have your health restored and improve the quality of your life!
How? Let me explain. Our bodies want to function at 100%. If you cut your finger your body heals. What controls that healing process? Your nervous system! Your nervous system is the master control center in your body. It controls your muscles that allow you to walk, it tells the stomach to produce acid so you can digest your food, and even sends signals to the heart to pump oxygenated blood to the rest of your body. The nervous system controls everything.
If your nervous system keeps your body functioning 100% then what happens if you get interference to the nervous system? You get disease. Your body doesn’t function 100%, it starts to function at 75% or less than optimal. Do you feel great if you are functioning less than optimal? No! You get tired. You start to get pain in your joints. Food is more difficult to digest.
Chiropractors are experts at understanding that your body is self-healing and self-regulating. They know that if you have interference to your nervous system then your body starts to develop symptoms, also known as a subluxation/misalignments. Chiropractors provide an adjustment to the spine that gets rid of subluxations so your body can function efficiently. Benefits that you will experience after getting chiropractic adjustments are: increase in energy, increase in mental clarity, increase in the immune system and increase in metabolism. Eliminating subluxations allows more energy to flow through the nerves, which improves your health, and ultimately improving your quality of life.
How do we know this? In 1999, the American Chiropractic Association (ACA) performed a study titled “Utilization, Costs, and Effects of Chiropractic Care on Medicare Program Costs.” It is the first study to compare the Medicare expenditures of chiropractic patients to those of non-chiropractic patients receiving care in the federal Medicare program.
The study suggested that Chiropractic services play a role in reducing costs of Medicare reform and/or decrease new prescription drugs. The specific results showed that: 1) beneficiaries who received chiropractic care had lower average Medicare payments for all Medicare services than those who did not receive chiropractic care. ($4,426 vs. $8,103), 2) beneficiaries who received chiropractic care averaged fewer Medicare claims per capita than those who did not, and 3) beneficiaries who received chiropractic care had lower average Medicare payments per claim than those who did not.
The patients in this study reported better overall health with chiropractic assistance. They had few chronic conditions, spent fewer days in hospitals and were more mobile in their communities. They were more likely to perform strenuous levels of exercises than their non-chiropractic counterparts.
I use this article because people go to the medical doctor when they are sick or don’t feel well. The medical doctor performs expensive tests, prescribes medications and/or performs surgery. They seldom address lifestyle issues that are contributing to your declining health. And, if you haven’t noticed, we are having a health care crisis in our country right now. Health care costs are skyrocketing and unsustainable. The existing medical model is clearly broken.
What’s the answer? It comes down to taking responsibility for your health. Being proactive. Making sure your body is functioning at 100%. This is done by addressing the 6 keys of health, which are: 1) exercise, 2) eat healthy foods, 3) sleep 7-8 hours a night, 4) proper posture, 5) positive mental attitude, and 6) a strong nervous system. As your health improves so will your quality of life. You will notice more patience, happiness and fulfillment in everything you do!
It doesn’t matter how hard you work or how much money you have. If you don’t have your health then you can’t work or spend your money doing what you enjoy. Take the time to care for your health now so you will have health for your years in the future!!!
