Meet the LivingBetterat50+ Team
Carol L. Doyel
Founder, Editor-in-Chief
Carol Doyel is a leading expert in empowering women 50+ to be who they are created to be. An entrepreneur at heart, she launched a new product concept now used across the United States, developed and marketed health promotion programs for a large non-profit organization and graduated from a “Community Leadership Program” for emerging leaders. She has owned three of her own businesses and graduated from The Full Gospel Bible Institute in 2004, followed by serving in women’s ministry from 2004-2009. Carol’s community service includes, past board memberships for the YWCA and Washington Women’s Education and Employment (WWEE) and serving at a local non-profit woman’s organization based in New Orleans. The culmination of her gifts and life experience lead to launching www.livingbetterat50.com an online magazine, “For Women with Spirit”.
Pamela Lovegren
Business Manager
Pamela’s expertise flows from building her own successful business to guiding small to mid-size family owned companies. She analyzes business structure, is a diplomatic negotiator, identifies operational issues, and implements effective resolutions to lead a firm on a path to excellence. Her experience ranges from resort management, leadership conferences, property management and business consulting to managing editor of this online publication. Pamela shares the vision of Carol Doyel to celebrate and encourage women of 50+ who desire to live life with spirit and passion each and every day.
Prudence Lay
Host of “Secrets to LivingBetter50” BlogTalkRadio Show
As a woman with many interests, experiences, and passions - Prudence loves meeting new people and interviewing guests on the weekly BlogTalkRadio show hosted by LivingBetterat50+. Currently Prudence and her family reside in Sisters, Oregon where she is enjoying her latest adventure as a radio show talk host.
Christina Fleming
Manager of Marketing & Communications
Christina is a wife, mother, sister and a daughter of the Lord. Christina has always enjoyed sales & marketing and majored in Marketing & Communications at Linfield College. She brings her experience of working as a customer service manager for a start-up nutritional drink company and prior to that as a marketing representative for a large health insurance company, where she worked shortly after finishing college. She also has a passion for health, nutrition and fitness and is very excited to be part of the LivingBetterat50+ team, as the Manager of Marketing & Communications.
Trevor Reeves
Website & Content Manager
Trevor is an LSU Graduate and owner of a web development company, Blureach. He also sits on the board of a Baton Rouge, LA Non-profit organization, Sense, and is involved in the Hugh O’ Brian Youth Foundation for children. He enjoys fishing and spending time with family. His role as the web manager for LivingBetterat50+ allows him to utilize his expertise in search engine optimization and website development.

Erica is a Chef, Writer and Stylist. A native of South Florida and veteran Manhattanite, Erica now lives in the beautiful wine country in Sonoma, California with her husband David and son Jack. She has worked as an editor and feature writer for various national and regional publications including: Woman’s Day, Country, Ocean Drive, The South Florida Business Journal and TheChurchReport.com. Erica’s passion for food, faith and family has inspired her to create an online magazine – Sonoma Christian Home.
Nancie Carmichael
Nancie and her husband Bill have been involved with the writing and publishing field for many years as they published Virtue Magazine and Christian Parenting Magazine. They now own a book publishing company, Deep River Books. Nancie and Bill have written several books together including: Lord, Bless My Child; and Seven Habits of a Healthy Home. Nancie has written: Your life, God’s Home; Desperate for God: How He Meet Us When We Pray; The Comforting Presence of God; Selah: Time to Stop, Think, and Step into your Future; and her latest book, Surviving One Bad Year—Seven Spiritual Strategies to Lead You to a New Beginning. Bill and Nancie make their home in the Cascade Mountains of Oregon and are parents to five married children and grandparents to ten. Nancie received her Master’s of Spiritual Formation from George Fox Evangelical Seminary in 2012, and in 2005, received an Honorary Doctorate in Humane Letters from Western Baptist College. Vicki is a dynamic entrepreneur, author, speaker, product designer, and media personality who inspires people to reclaim their overwhelmed lives. She is the President of Vicki Norris’ Restoring Order, an organizing services and products company. She helps the body of Christ return to God’s order and to discover His original design for our lives. Jacquline Dorman
Jacqueline knows women! She spent 13 years of her career educating and mentoring women through non-profit organizations, being a sought after conference speaker and life coach and now she’s taking the media world. After becoming General Manager of the Emmy winning Guardian Television Network she saw a need to raise the bar in women’s entertainment. Her desire to see women’s lives promoted through their media led her to create Jane Media Group, home to brands like the #1 IPTV network for women, Jane TV and Teen Jane. Her goal now is to help quality companies and brands reach the heart and minds of the female consumer with products and services that promote, celebrate and help them realize their most authentic life. Her ability to drill down into the core vision of a company, mixing her unique creativity with a keen marketing eye makes her a branding powerhouse.
